ABOUT JULIA
I’m Julia Contreras, founder of JR Business Solutions. With more than 35 years of combined HR and safety expertise, our team has helped manufacturing, health care, technology, and many other organizations across Minnesota build compliant, productive, and people-centered workplaces.
I come from a large family of nine siblings, and from an early age, we learned the value of hard work. Throughout my college years, I gained hands-on experience as an equipment operator on a paving crew. Often, I would find myself on my roller, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next hot mix truck, all the while engrossed in my business literature. Those long, hot days in construction instilled in me a determination to persevere and achieve my goals, and they shaped my character and resilience.
In Human Resources, the primary objective is facilitating the triumph of both the organization and its workforce. That means carefully aligning talent with roles and continuously working to retain it. My passion for helping others fuels my commitment to providing comprehensive HR and safety support to companies grappling with personnel and safety management challenges.
I also collaborate with leadership teams, equipping them with tools and methods that empower executives not only to guide their organizations but also to engage in strategic initiatives, striking a balance between working ON the business and working IN the business.

I’m Julia. I’m from New London, MN, come from a large family, and worked my way through college on a paving construction crew. Today, I lead a team of HR and safety professionals with more than 35 years of combined experience, serving manufacturing, health care, technology, and other industries across Minnesota. My passion is to help people. This comes in many forms, from helping companies with their business strategy or leadership team to assisting with their personnel management or safety programs. I strive to help companies foster great work environments and create teams who get results. To do that, your company needs to have the proper setup and processes that make a positive impact towards company goals.
